They offered the dog treats and water and gave me advice on what to do next and it ended up leading to her getting to a safe place and finding her owners. Thanks again!safiy98safiy98 ★★★★★ Lovely caring staff, very patient with this worried cat mom, very helpful with the issues we were experiencing, and attentive in email after the appointment. Recommend.Roberta F.Roberta F. ★★★★★ Loved this place- it is a little far from where we live, but they were clean, courteous and so friendly! My little kitty felt so at ease with everyone. THey also found discounts for us, I really love and appreciate them.Francesca M.Francesca M. ★★★★★ Our experience at Saltwater Vet was very good. The tech and Veterinarian were highly professional and very kind to our dog. They did a thorough exam and diagnosed her problems and gave us a solid plan of action.Tami S.Tami S. ★★★★★ Love Dr.Deal. She truly loves animals and you can tell.Katy LKaty L ★★★★★ Kind and compassionate staff. They were able to fit us into their schedule to see our fur boy.Marilyn N.Marilyn N. ★★★★★ They spent time discussing what was wrong with my catPat S.Pat S. ★★★★★ Saltwater Animal Hospital is 10 star and beyond. Dr. Deal is our vet there; she is caring and really takes her time to learn about your animals and how everyone is doing. The staff is kind, courteous and happy to be there. This was my first visit-the front desk knew everyone who walked in, welcomed everyone and fussed over the pets and their owners. The office is bright, peaceful and welcoming. I love it here!Dorothy D.Dorothy D. ★★★★★ They were so sweet and really put me at ease when I had to get my dog medical assistance the same day. I will be bringing my other two dogs to them very soon for check upsterrie S.terrie S. ★★★★★ First and foremost, they we're able to examine my cat within hours of me calling Saltwater. What a relief! The vet and technician (and the front desk) were excellent.I thought our 13-year-old female tabby, Mala, was on death's door step due to sneezing fits, no appetite, and being completely lethargic. But upon our arrival at Saltwater she perked up immediately. Mala responded to the technician's loving approach and wolfed down two Churus. Then she displayed energy during the exam. The doctor was extremely thorough and ran a panel of tests. We discussed Mala's history as Saltwater had access to her records from VCA in West Seattle. I thought that was fantastic that they share records. The vet put me at ease with a list of possible causes and how to address the sneezing fits. We discussed hot, steam and a humidifier to help with the congestion and sneezing. She provided Mirataz to help increase Mala's appetite. The next day she called me to check on Mala. That's when the vet recommended L-Lysine (Viralys Oral Get) to help with the immune system. Within three days Mala was back to her normal self eating regularly and lots of energy.Saltwater even emailed me a list of specialists. They are very professional and simply the best!Patrick A.Patrick A. ★★★★★ They were extremely polite, soft spoken and professional when I went with a friend to help her say goodbye to her four legged fur baby. It was a said time and they were extremely professional about it. They explained everything to the fullest without going overboard. They gave you time alone with your family to say goodbyes. They didn't rush anything. They kept the blankets and belongings left behind, washed them and gave them back if requested. The urn packages were amazingly respectfully and beautifully put together. Complete with a paw print, nose print, condolences card, urn, a beautiful velvet style bag inside a matching gift style bag. The establishment was very clean, obviously newly constructed, or at least recently updated with today's modern contemporary style and the rooms were very spacious. You couldn't hear other animals, at least while we were there.... Overall it was the best experience you could have, considering.Pat W.Pat W. ★★★★★ I have an extremely difficult semi feral cat who I love very much. They were so professional and gentle with her even though she so violent the first visit they couldn't sedate her. They were helpful and understanding. They are not on the lower end of the bill scale, but for me it's 100% worth it.Rachele W.Rachele W. ★★★★★ We had a great experience getting care for our big dog Buddy. The staff were able to take him same day when our primary vet wasn’t able to, and Dr. Arce was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, clear, and helpful. She was great with Buddy too. We really liked our experience there and now have a great second option where we know Buddy will get great care.Jenna M.Jenna M. ★★★★★ I just had my first vet appointment with my new kitten at Saltwater, and it was such a relief knowing I had found a clinic for my fur babe that checks all the boxes. ✔️Clean ✔️Calm environment ✔️ knowledgeable and kind staff ✔️reasonable rates. These professionals LOVE animals and you really get the sense that they genuinely care. From the moment I was greeted by the warm front desk staff and checked into our spacious patient room, I knew this place was different. If you are a cat owner, you know how stressful it can be for your feline friend to be in a waiting area with dogs and other cats. Having our own private room eliminated a lot of that anxiety for my kitty. During my cat’s consultation, she was given lots of treats and handled with great care and attention to help ease her anxiety. Thanks for exceeding my expectations! I’ll definitely bring all my pets to your clinic and spread the good word!claudia N.claudia N. ★★★★★ Both me and my dog Sampson enjoyed the appointment. The doctor was knowledgeable and very nice. The nurse also was very nice and smart. We will make this place our permanent vet.TimboTimbo ★★★★★ Dr. Humphrey and her staff are amazing! They kept my little one calm through the examination, inoculations and blood work. I'm grateful I chose this clinic for my pet's care. They even sent an email today following up on my Lil' Bit and how she was doing. Top notch careBarb M.Barb M. ★★★★★ They are the Best!Rich C.Rich C. ★★★★★ We were able to get in the same day and received exceptional care for our dog. The Dr spent time explaining treatment options and helped make decisions on next steps. This will be our clinic of choice going forward!Emily E.Emily E. ★★★★★ Each time we take one of our pets to Saltwater Vet we are highly satisfied. The doctors and assistants are pleasant and very informative. They make us feel that we are very special and they take their time answering questions. We leave on a positive note every time.Teresa C.Teresa C. ★★★★★ Our dog appears to have allergies from March to October. Plus he has IVDD. Dr Sutton was so helpful and went over and beyond to ensure our dog is getting the best care. Thank you for the great service from everyone, everytime we go!Todd W.Todd W. ★★★★★ The building is easy to get to, plenty of parking and when you walk in with your sweet fur baby, it’s clean and open, you are welcomed and treated like a dear friend! The staff is cheerful, knowledgeable, and kind. There’s no doubt that you & your buddy are their number one priority and will be well taken care of. I happen to have the very best Vet, but I’m sure they’re all as wonderful and caring as mine is.Claire M.Claire M. ★★★★★ So nice and professional. Very clean place. And so gentle with my grumpy a-hole cat.Suski JSuski J ★★★★★ Dr. Deal is a wonderful veterinarian. She knows us and loves our dogs. It’s more than just a job…it’s their way of life and it shows.Highly recommendray C.ray C. ★★★★★ Truly a blessing!! I called on a Wednesday and my kitty was seen the next day! Dr. Arce and her staff are caring, gentle, engaging, and positively wonderful! They treated us like someone who they knew for years. They explained everything in full detail and made the visit comfortable for a scared kitty. I will definitely bring my other animals here for care!Yonnie PYonnie P ★★★★★ Very clean and super nice staffJan H.Jan H. ★★★★★ My cat began to get very anxious and even aggressive at his old vet. At Saltwater, they are patient and kind with him, which helps him relax. My old vet (DO NOT GO TO BURIEN ANIMAL HOSPITAL) completely missed that my cat was diabetic, but Saltwater vets made quick work of figuring out his ailment. There was a miscommunication about one part of his treatment, but that was simply because the first vet I saw left the office and it was not communicated to the next vet who took on his care.Since then, they have been happy to help over e-mail and phone as my cat gets healthy. When I noticed an inconsistency in the bill from one visit to the next, they were happy to remedy the difference.I have had nothing besides a 5-star experience at Saltwater!RaeRae ★★★★★ I am extremely comfortable and happy with salt water animal clinic I've already given two of my friends their business card I highly recommend them.Laura F.Laura F. ★★★★★ I've been here with my cat and bearded dragon and seen two vets. Everyone I've interacted with has been great. I really appreciate being able to make appointments online and pay in the room.Adriana L.Adriana L. ★★★★★ Had an amazing experience with the staff at Saltwater Animal Hospital.Took my girl in to have a mass removed from her gums, though they were booked they managed to squeeze us in less than a week later. The staff was very friendly and welcoming both in person and over the phone. We are very happy with the service and will be going back for all our girl’s needs.Thank you Saltwater Animal Hospital for your help and support!Anadelia G.Anadelia G. ★★★★★ Everything clicks at Saltwater! Reminders, zero waiting, friendly staff, all great with our dog, careful to explain everything and pricing!Brad H.Brad H. ★★★★★ Awesome placeshawn D.shawn D. ★★★★★ All of the staff were friendly & welcoming when I came in with my cat Zeva. In the exam room because Zeva would not come out of the carrier Dr Laura Arce suggested we put her on the floor. After opening the top, the 4 of us (Dr, Attendant, Myself & Zeva) sat on the floor for the exam & nail trimming. I was very touched by the care & concern for not stressing Zeva out more than she already was. Both of my cats have received great care during their exams. I may have to drive a bit further now but am so glad I changed to Saltwater Animal Hospital.Annette A.Annette A. ★★★★★ I was able to get Tilly in for her first visit the following day. Plenty of parking and clean office. Everyone was kind and courteous. Dr. Humphrey was very gentle, patient and answered my questions with a smile. I will be returning to Saltwater Animal Hospital for future needs for my darling Tilly.Margie BMargie B ★★★★★ Great place, it is clean and the ladies there are very friendly and helpful.Alexis M.Alexis M. ★★★★★ Exceptional care and great customer service. After a horrendous experience with a previous clinic that nearly killed my cat due to negligence and malpractice, I was thrilled to find a local vet that could properly care for her. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. They have completely turned her health around after an uphill battle with a hyperthyroid issue. My cat is happier and healthier than ever and adores the staff.Tatiana M.Tatiana M. ★★★★★ Our dog was very sick. Saltwater Animal Hospital was able to see our dog right away. We can only recommend the clinic to any animal parent. Thank you so much for your quick and caring treatment.Nicole S.Nicole S. ★★★★★ Great team, wonderful Vet!Warren T.Warren T. ★★★★★ They are very friendly and thoroughly care. Dr Sitton has been diligent and continues to be. Our dog has been diagnosed with IVDD. So sad and hard. The compassion is felt and I would recommend them to everyone.D DD D ★★★★★ Dr. Humphreys is so kind and compassionate about our fur babies and the front office staff are very helpfulDebra M.Debra M. ★★★★★ Very happy that they were open on weekends. The staff was very knowledgeable and clear with what was going on with my kitty. The doctor explained all the problems and provided great solutions. This will be where I take my cats from now on.Piero T.Piero T. ★★★★★ The entire team made me and Reji feel welcome, important and cared for in every possible way. They are all absolutely fabulous caregivers and doctors. Reji awoke w/ CP in his right rear paw on a Saturday. Every vet in West Seattle is either closed on weekends or not taking patients unless it is life threatening. While CP may not be life threatening in the strictish of terms to a Pug it is, to be clear, life threatening: eating - fall down, walk - fall down, pee - fall down, poop - fall down. We are very grateful and indebted to Salt Water for being there for us!Pete K.Pete K. ★★★★★ Ginger loves to see the people at Saltwater Animal Hospital. They take excellent care of our cats and always very pleasant.Michael P. S.Michael P. S. ★★★★★ Nowglis did not freak out. She received many pets from the doctor purred alot.Deborah S.Deborah S. ★★★★★ You can tell they really love animalsAshley H.Ashley H. ★★★★★ Good service overall! Thanks.Morgan H.Morgan H. ★★★★★ I was seen promptly for my dog's injured foot.. Dr Humphrey was knowledgeable and well as having a great professional aura.Ed B.Ed B. ★★★★★ With my usual vet backed up, they recommended Saltwater for my bulldog when he needed to be seen quickly. I'm glad for the recommendation; they were welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable, and when facing potentially bad news, they were compassionate and caring. They care deeply about the animals in their care, and I'm so thankful for their help.Gavin D.Gavin D. ★★★★★ On time, friendly caring staff for our guinea pig.Heather M.Heather M. ★★★★★ We brought our cat here for the first time with what seemed to us to be something serious going on. Everyone we saw (Dr. Paden, another doctor shadowing her, and the tech) was incredibly knowledgeable and communicative. We felt heard and understood in our concerns and are looking forward to working with them further to get to the bottom of our cat's problem.Michelle C.Michelle C. ★★★★★ Our cat and puppy are treated kindly, gently and love the treats. The patience given to our new nervous pup was amazing. Neither animal minds a trip to the vet. We love the explanations and options for our animals.Margaret H.Margaret H. ★★★★★ AwesomeShawn D.Shawn D. ★★★★★ Nice staff clean office and quick service, they are so friendly and explain everything to youdarius E.darius E. ★★★★★ I have been taking my two cats here for around 6/7 months. I have had nothing but great experiences. I believe I’ve seen 3 of the DVMs, and they have all been equally great. They’ve worked me in twice for emergency visits (I have an old man) and are very accommodating. My cats don’t mind coming here, which is really a good review if you know cats. Both of my cats seem quite comfortable when in their rooms. They provide warmed blankets for comforting your pet, and always have tons of treats, tissues, and towels on hand. This place is great and I probably won’t change unless I move.Kate WKate W ★★★★★ The staff is so kind and the dr. and vet tech are very patient and caring with the animals. The dr. patiently explained everything in detail and as a bonus they don’t make you wait very longKathy K.Kathy K. ★★★★★ UPDATE REVIEW: Initially I had left a 1 star review because I was frustrated with an issue regarding an appointment cancellation, and receiving my deposit back. However, the manager called and took full responsibility after realizing they had made a mistake and gave us our refund!! Manager and the lady that got me in contact with the manager were great!! Not so much the quiet mono-tone lady. I was super impressed with how the manager dealt with the situation. Wish more places had customer service like thisJoon K.Joon K. ★★★★★ Saltwater Animal Hospital is amazing. From the reception area to the waiting room, it's clean and tidy. No matter the weather, the staff have a smile on their face. They handled my 70+ lbs dogs neutering like champs (pitbull breed). They answer all your questions and will not make you feel stupid if you have a weird question. I've called multiple times in one day about my dog. They treated me like a person, which sadly in this day and age is rare. Having total peace of mind when you drop your animal off is why i recommended Saltwater Animal Hospital.Courtney K.Courtney K. ★★★★★ Saltwater Animal Hospital saved my cat. My cat Ally is about 15 years old, and developed a cough which grew into something more, with her having gagging episodes that resulted in a shrieking noise as if she was in a lot of pain.We had originally made an appointment at another vet that was closer to home, but it was a ways out, and the situation was growing worse. We were very fortunate that Saltwater had openings earlier, because if we had kept the other appointment, she would not have made it.Saltwater quickly diagnosed she had fluid building up in her chest cavity that was preventing her from breathing and from throwing up when she needed to. They were able to drain the fluid from her lungs on two separate occasions, before ultimately referring us to an oncology expert for continued treatment as they had identified a mass which later was diagnosed as lymphoma. It's been a month since then, and Ally has been seen regularly at the oncology expert for chemo, and at this time there is no more fluid building up in her chest cavity, but she never would have made it this far without Saltwater to help her in those initial days. She went from being a morose cat hiding in dark, shadowy spaces to being back to her old self, begging to go outside and spend time with her dad.On top of the fact that they saved my cat's life, the staff at Saltwater was exceedingly friendly, helpful, professional, and everything you would wish staff at a vet's office would be. I have 0 qualms about recommending them to anyone in the Des Moines area, or in driving distance, or even beyond driving distance as I am thrilled with our experience there.I don't know how much time Ally will have left after this, I've heard some cats who go through chemo can live for years after, but what I do know is how much time she would've had if Saltwater hadn't been there for her. I will be forever grateful.Michael G.Michael G.js_loader
