CORE AND LIFESTYLE VACCINES
Pet vaccinations fall into one of two broad categories:
core and lifestyle (also known as non-core).
Core vaccines are those that all pets need, like rabies. Lifestyle vaccines are the ones that some pets need while others do not. For example, if you and your dog hike in the woods frequently, the Lyme disease vaccine is a must. But if you spend most of your time in urban areas, your pet might not need it.
Our veterinarians will take the time to get to know you and your pet to help you select the right vaccines. Our goal is to make sure they are protected against the diseases they are likely to encounter without over-vaccinating them for diseases they will never be exposed to. This approach is better for your pet and your bank account than a “one-size-fits-all” approach.
